The co-hosts of a Cincinnati morning radio show, who have been gracing the airwaves of the Queen City for nearly three decades, are retiring by the end of this year.

Cumulus Media (Nasdaq: CMLS) announced Oct. 23 that Chris O'Brien and Janeen Coyle – hosts of the Married with Microphones morning show on 103.5 WGRR-FM – will mark their last day on-air Dec. 22.

O'Brien and Coyle have hosted the morning show on WGRR, a station playing what it calls "classic hits" from the '70s through the '90s, since 1995. The couple met in 1979 while they both worked at WKRQ-FM in Cincinnati, with O'Brien moving to WGRR in 1991 and Coyle joining him for the Married with Microphones show in 1995.

"After my 32 years at WGRR and Janeen’s 28, we’ve decided to unplug the headphones and flip off the mic switch for the last time at year’s end," O'Brien wrote in a Facebook post. "We cannot even begin to thank you, our listeners, for your loyalty … many of you following us since our Q102 days of the '70s and '80s. We’ll miss you, but we’re not done yet."

In addition to Married with Microphones, the couple hosted a live morning radio segment on WCPO-TV for several years.

"If there were ever a playbook on how to make great radio, Chris and Janeen would have their own chapter," WGRR Program Director Keith Mitchell wrote in a news release. "Aside from their obvious chemistry, they are both incredibly talented professionals and I’m honored to have had the opportunity to work with them."
