If you need to return gifts purchased or received during the holiday season, each store has their own policy. Retail retailers like Amazon, Target, and Walmart have different return policies during the holidays. Most items purchased on Amazon can be returned for a refund or replacement/exchange within 30 days, provided they are in original packaging or unused condition. For the 2025 holiday season, most items purchased between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31 can return through Jan. 31, 2026. For eligible items, you can receive free returns at many locations like UPS stores, Whole Foods or Kohl's. For electronics and entertainment, including Apple & Beats products and most Target Plus items, customers have 30 days from Dec. 26 to make a return - items must be returned by Jan. 24, 2020. However, items that are opened, damaged or do not have a receipt may be denied a refund. Walmart has a different return window for items purchased from Oct. 1 through Dec.31.
